Ronald A. Gargano - Principal

Ronald A. Gargano has been the President of Ragland & Associates and Ragland Construction, for the past 40 years. Through his ownership role, he developed more than $100 million in business assets, land development and multi-family residential projects.

As General partner, he developed apartment and condominium projects. He coordinated with various partner groups and operated the projects from their origination to successful sale. During these projects, he prepared factual proposals for governmental authorities, partners and lenders. He also managed the construction, sales and marketing programs.

He was Executive Vice President of Crocker & Co. for 15 years and Partner in the office, retail and hotel developments valued at more than $200 million in Florida. He coordinated the acquisition of the properties and prepared the site plans for development. He acted as general contractor for the construction of office buildings, retail and hotel projects. He has years of experience in dealing with national corporate tenants and retail, restaurant and hotel operations.

In addition, he acted as a consultant to equity participants and institutional lenders where he evaluated real estate projects and other operating assets. He has been involved in the financing of more than $800 million worth of real estate projects and business operations.

He served in the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers as operations/intelligence officer. He managed projects and coordinated NATO plans throughout Eastern Europe.

Mr. Gargano’s experience is referenced across a wide array of ventures, including real estate developments, large acreage evaluations, restaurant operations, hotels, retail and manufacturing operations, assisted living facilities, marinas, institutional consultation, and evaluating other operating assets.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. Mr. Gargano is a Certified General Contractor, a Real Estate Broker and Mortgage Broker and a past President of the South Florida NAIOP.

John A. Gargano

John A. Gargano has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry. In his capacity as a licensed architect he has been involved in over one billion dollars of construction and development projects throughout the USA. Mr. Gargano holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech. He has worked as a licensed architect in Colorado and Florida on projects in commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial and transportation occupancies.

Mr. Gargano has been certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Having grown up in the family construction and real estate development business he has hands on experience in multiple construction trades and has managed complex projects from both the construction and design sides.

In the field of Architecture, Mr. Gargano has worked with the design firms of Skidmore Owings and Merrill, Gensler and Associates, RNL Design Inc, Hoover Berg Desmond Architects and Charles Sink and Associates. As the principal of his own architectural practice he has worked with Baird and Warner, Heritage Financial Corporation, Whirlpool Kitchens and Texaco. Mr. Gargano has experience in REO operations with banks such as Manufacturer’s Hanover Trust and Denver National Bank.

Mr. Gargano has also served as the president and owner of a software development firm in Denver, CO where his clients included DuPont, Boeing, Johns Manville, JD Edwards, General Electric, Diversey Lever and Oldcastle Precast. Mr. Gargano thus has management experience in sales and marketing as well as other types of complex and diverse undertakings.

Nick Weaver – Project Manager, Administration

Nick Weaver is a project manager and project administrator. He assists in the conceptual stage of each project to evaluate costs and specifications with respect to project financials. Nick prepares budgets and cost controls.

During the course of development, he manages subcontract and purchase order financial controls. He prepares budget, cost reports and funding requests for lenders and owners.

He is knowledgeable in the lien law and contract management coordinating insurance, licensing, payment releases and the multitude of effort required to keep all subcontractors within the scope of services and within budgetary parameters.

Nick has previously worked with Chep USA as a project manager and auditor for over 120 national accounts. He is a graduate of Siena College with a degree in Finance. His experience and commitment to detail has made him an invaluable part of the Ragland team.

Robin Weaver - Sales & Marketing

Robin Gargano develops and coordinates sales and marketing programs through RA Associates. She evaluates the projects, participates in market analysis and prepares comprehensive marketing plans. As the marketing programs are implemented she coordinates all design, layout and copy to produce final marketing materials. In addition, she assists in the preparation of web based marketing and interactive productions.

From the preparation of the sales and marketing plan she places all advertising and coordinates special events. Robin’s experience in real estate provides her with an in depth knowledge of sales office operations, project brochures, advertising placement and specialty collateral campaign support.
Previously employed by Van Vechten & Company, Robin worked to develop marketing concepts and strategic consumer product placement. She also planned and managed client marketing programs, handled media relations and coordinated PR for national sales and sponsorship campaigns.
